A great day for skyping

Today, I DID get to see the cutest baby I know!  Hudson looked so big.  I can't wait to see him at Christmas.  I also got to skype with my parents.  Woohoo!

After skyping, I hung around my room for a while and read, and then Lauren and I walked around to some souvenir shops just to look.  D-Mall is the fancy tourist mall, although I guess it's more like an outlet mall where you walk outside to go to the next store.  I already knew about that one, but Lauren showed me where the other one is that also has some pretty nice stuff, but is less expensive and the set-up is more outdoorsy, similar to what you would see on the main street if it had souvenir shops.  I didn't buy anything, but just wanted to check things out.

A little later, all the "singles" as we like to call ourselves, went to Puka Beach.  It's at the very end of the island and is possibly even nicer than White Beach simply because it's less populated and the sand has hardly any rocks or shells.  Some of us swam there, and then we ate at a restaurant called Tilapia and Chips.  It's ran by an American man...at least I guess he's American - he was white and has the same accent that I do - and it has the most American feel of any restaurant I've been in.  It even had AC!  I had a yummy fish sandwich.

Then, I went to the girls' house and played cards with Olivia, Carla, and a couple of kids before heading back to the Barn, where I did more skyping!  I talked to my friend Anna for quite a while and briefly skyped Sara.

It's been a fun day, and we're hoping to kayak tomorrow!  And, the best news yet, there is a team from Shanghai coming soon which means free food for me!  It sure will be nice to save some money.
